Support Ukrainian Horticulture by Improving Bussiness

Ukrainian agribusiness initiates its permanent presence within the EU institutions in Brussels.

This was announced by the Ukrainian Agribusiness Club (UKAB),  on October 2nd, UKAB opens its European office in the capital of the European Union.

The office will be headed by the former Ukrainian diplomat, experienced expert in European trade regulation and policy, Nazar Bobytsky.

“The main tasks of the UKAB European office include providing advisory support to Ukrainian agro-producers in preparing Ukraine for future pre-accession negotiations on EU membership and related commitments for adapting European legislation in the agricultural sector, seeking mutually beneficial solutions to regulate problematic issues of agricultural trade between Ukraine and the EU, establishing constructive dialogue on behalf of Ukrainian agribusiness with EU institutions, member states, and European business associations. The UKAB European office will also facilitate coordinated public communication between Ukrainian agribusiness and European stakeholders,” the company’s statement said.

The office’s activities will be carried out in partnership between UKAB and the well-known international company specializing in European regulation and advocacy, KREAB.

Commenting on the opening of the UKAB European office in Brussels, the CEO of UKAB, Oleg Khomenko, noted: “The presence of Ukrainian business in the capital of the EU has been on the agenda for a long time, and today the need for such a presence is more than obvious. Ukrainian agribusiness is firmly convinced that the future of Ukraine, its economy, and the agricultural sector are closely tied to our country’s return to the European family. We will make every effort to establish an open, constructive dialogue with our European partners.”
