PAEK LLC (Mykolaiv Oblast) is set to strengthen its presence in the domestic vegetable market. This announcement comes from the company’s official Facebook page.

“Already this season, the company has expanded the total area dedicated to vegetable farming to 300 hectares. 50 hectares have been allocated for winter onions (harvest of 2024). The total area for the following year will be significantly increased,” the company stated.

This year, as an experiment, following the barley harvest (mid-July), PAEK planted a second crop of vegetables on an area of approximately 30 hectares.

“Our company has significant experience in cultivating two sunflower crops. This year, the goal is to harvest two batches of vegetables. For this trial, about 30 hectares of land have been allocated. The entire area is under drip irrigation. We have already started the first selection on some plots,” noted the company’s owner, Yuriy Kormyshkin.

He emphasizes that the key to growing the second crop of vegetables lies in care and timely fertilization.

“Despite being in a southern region, autumn is still autumn. The temperature regime and air humidity change. Therefore, during this period, it is crucial to prevent plant diseases. We conduct comprehensive treatment practically every 7 days. Fertilization is done through drip irrigation, using complex water-soluble fertilizers. The company’s agronomists regularly monitor moisture levels to maintain it at an optimal level,” Yuriy Kormyshkin shared his experience.
