Support Ukrainian Horticulture by Improving Bussiness

Small and medium-sized processing enterprises can receive grаnt support from the German government in the amount of €5.6 million. This marks the second phase of the grаnt project “Access to Financing and Support for SME Sustainability in Ukraine – Phase II.”

As a result of the first phase, 136 micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises received grаnt support totaling €1.5 million. These enterprises went on to secure loans for the implementation of investment projects amounting to €11.2 million.

Who can join the program? Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises that:

– Have up to 250 employees and annual revenue of up to €10 million;

– Plan to implement investment projects;

– Have a positive credit history;

– Have no arrears to the budget of Ukraine;

– Have not received international technical assistance since 01.02.2022.

Entrepreneurs will be able to receive financial support of up to €30,000 in hryvnia equivalent to implement their investment plans through five partner financial institutions: Oschadbank, Bank Lviv, Kredobank, Ukrgasbank, and the credit union “Anisia.” The grnt funds will be directed towards partial compensation of investment costs up to 30%.

The grаnt project from the German Government will expand the range of g resources for SMEs and complement the government program eRobota, which also offers grаnts for processing enterprises in Ukraine. In the conditions of war, grаnts for small businesses are the most effective tool for the development of processing enterprises, especially in the de-occupied regions of Ukraine, – noted Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Tetyana Berezhna.

The grаnt support from the German Government is implemented within the framework of the international cooperation program ReACT4UA (Resilience/Recovery – Accession – Competitiveness – Trade), which is carried out by the German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (GIZ Ukraine)
