This was reported by the Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, Markiyan Dmytrashevych, during the telethon “Yedyni Novyny.”
“The data for December 2023 indicate that over 85% of agricultural products are exported by sea. Less than 20% of this figure is occupied by the Danube route, and the rest is our corridor from the ports of Odesa. We are very satisfied with the work of the Odesa ports, despite the occasional problems that arise there. We hope that the Defense Forces and the support of international partners will allow us to continue effectively using the corridor from the ports of Odesa,” notes Markiyan Dmytrashevych.
He added that in the total value of agricultural exports, the share of road transport, again according to the results of December, is approximately 2%.
“These routes are also quite important for us since not all products can be transported by ships. Moreover, it is necessary to have and develop alternative routes for exports,” believes Markiyan Dmytrashevych.
